ABOUT ME

Originally from Hong Kong, Maggie Lo now lives and works in Sunnyvale, CA as a piano teacher, a pianist, and an active choir member.

Beginning studying piano at the age of 6, she holds a Diploma of The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. She has performed as a pianist in recitals, as a collaborative pianist with singers and instrumentalists, and as a singer in choruses.

Maggie has 10+ years of teaching experience for 70+ children and adults (ranging from 5 to 75 years old) across the Bay Area. She offers a curriculum customized for each student depending on their needs and interests, composed of note reading, piano technique, music theory, performance skills, and standard piano repertoire.

Maggie believes that all students have a seed of ability, which can grow into talent and accomplishment that can be very rewarding and even superior. While some students may learn faster than others, she is concerned with individual feelings of accomplishment. She also aids students not just in musical ability, but also in their personal growth by learning to use music to create happier and more fulfilling lives.
